Paramount Skydance Set to Remove Approximately 2,000 United States Roles – Update

Paramount Skydance plans to initiate large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, cutting nearly 2,000 US jobs under a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn overseen by CEO David Ellison.

The workforce reduction are a result of the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed during August worth $8.4bn.

Additional global layoffs are expected, as the firm aiming to reveal full details via its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.

Prior news had indicated the company aimed to eliminate between 2,000 and 3,000 jobs by early November.

As of December 2024, Paramount had nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts and 3,500 project-based staff.

The company did not immediately respond regarding the report.
